Description
  • Many mechatronic products use the electromechanical servo with DC motor. Typically, there are dozens of such actuators in the current passenger car and the control of some of them is crucial (e.g. throttle). Moreover, the mass production requires low cost final product which also means relatively poor mechanical properties (tolerances, dry friction, variations of parameters). This chapter deals with the model based nonlinear control of an electromechanical servo. First, we describe the modelling and the parameter estimation. Next, the use of the model in friction compensator implemented as a part of the controller is explained.
