Description
| - This paper deals with an assessment of stress-strain states of healthy bone tissue in the vicinity of natural human teeth subjected to usual occlusal forces. An interaction of the teeth with a mandible is realized via a thin periodontal layer which was modeled by a linear isotropic material model. Seven basic models are introduced, each for different type of tooth. Sensitivity analysis of changing young modulus of periodontium as well as cancellous bone was done. Knowledge of a mechanical response of the bone tissue in physiological state to the load is of great importance for a follow-up comparative analysis of dental implant vs. natural tooth interaction with mandible.
