Description	Detailed experimental research has been carried out on the draft tube flow. Model of the Francis pump-turbine was equipped with the transparent draft tube. The flow investigation has been focused especially on the turbine operating at partial load operation, when so-called vortex rope is formed. However, also others turbine regimes have been investigated in order to comprehend whole operation range of the turbine. Detailed experimental research has been carried out on the draft tube flow.
