Description
  • The specialized finite element-based cohesive zone model is developed for effective simulations of fracture tests using three point bending configuration. For virtual testing are assumed geometrically similar notched quasi-brittle specimens witch has enabled to apply some simplifications during the model composition. The main features of the model are linear finite elements used for uncracked region of the model and predefined crack path considered as cohesive crack. he one of aspects, we can study in more detailed, is influence of applied cohesive function properties on the stress field of the model during a fracture test simulation. The presented results can be interesting in relation with estimation of fracture process zone development witch is substituted by cohesive crack-based model.
