  • The paper focuses on application of physical laws to monitoring moisture transport in materials using properties of electromagnetic microwave radiation. Results of experiments should prove that it is possible to obtain building material parameters by a non-destructive method, which may contribute to rational building design that eliminates undesirable action of moisture on structures during their service life.   • Obsahem článku je aplikace fyzikálních zákonů ke sledování transportu vlhkosti v materiálech uplatněním vlastností elektromagnetického mikrovlnného záření. Výsledky práce by měly prokázat možnost získání vlhkostních parametrů stavebních materiálů nedestruktivní metodou pro racionální návrh konstrukce stavby k eliminaci nežádoucího působení vlhkosti na její užívání.
