Description	Náplní článku jsou poznatky z modelového, poloprovozního a provozního výzkumu půdních filtrů a vegetačních kořenových čistíren. Výsledky sledování jsou zpracované do přehledných tabulek a grafů. Z dosažených výsledků je zřejmé, že kolmatace způsobuje velmi výrazné snížení hydraulické vodivosti filtračního materiálu. To může vést až k totálnímu ucpání pórů a následnému protékání po povrchu filtračního pole, u vertikálních filtrů může dojít až ke kolapsu a naprostému vyřazení z funkce. Důsledkem jsou pak pachové a estetické závady, odumírání rostlin, snížení vlastní účinné plochy filtračního pole, ale především negativní ovlivnění procesu filtrace a tím i snížení čisticího účinku vegetační kořenové čistírny. (cs) This contribution deals with clogging of porous filtration medium used in reed bed treatment plants and soil filters. Physical characteristics of porous filtration medium, especially its granularity, structure, texture, porosity, hydraulic conductivity etc., determine the final purification effect of reed bed treatment plant. The contribution briefly describes the factors causing clogging, the methods of determination, the influence of clogging on filtration attributes of filtration medium and outlines of the model, pilot and operation research. This contribution deals with clogging of porous filtration medium used in reed bed treatment plants and soil filters.
