  • V 50. a 60. letech minulého století bylo v ďeské republice vybudováno mnoho vodních děl (dále jen VD). Jedním z nich je i VD Znojmo. Jedná se o sypanou hráz kombinovanou se sdruženým funkčním blokem. Pro návrh bezpečnostního přelivu byl uvažován kontrolní průtok Q = 355 m3.s-1. Povodně, které se udály v České republice v letech 1997 a 2002 vyvolaly otázky týkající se bezpečnosti VD. Návrhový průtok bezpečnostního přelivu VD Znojmo byl zvýšen na Q = 610 m3.s-1. Proto bylo rozhodnuto o celkové rekonstrukci funkčního bloku VD Znojmo. Navrženo bylo: snížení stávající koruny přelivu, výměna stávajících klapkových uzávěrů za uzávěry segmentové s klapkou, zřízení vlnolamu na koruně hráze, a nezbytné úpravy ve vývaru. S ohledem na význam díla a rozsah plánované rekonstrukce bylo třeba provést posouzení návrhu na fyzikálním modelu. The nominal discharge of Q = 355 m3.s-1 was considered to design of the safety spillway. Extreme flood events occurred in Czech Republic in 1997 and 2002 evoked questions relating to the safety of dams. The nominal discharge of the Znojmo Dam safety spillway was enhanced up to Q = 610 m3.s-1. Therefore, the decision of reconstruction of the Znojmo dam spillway block was made. The following modifications were proposed: to sink the existing spillway crest, to replace the existing flap gates with tainter gates with flaps, installation of breakwater on the dam crest, and necessary modifications of the stilling basin.
