Description
  • The aim of presented paper is to apply the effective crack model (ECM) developed for single edged notched beams subjected to three point bending (SEN-TPB) on another geometry that appear to be suitable for determination or control of fracture parameters of existing concrete structures. A test of double edge notched cube under eccentric compressive loading (DEN-EC) might be one of such an efficient substitution. Effective fracture parameters evaluated from both SEN-TPB and DEN-EC tests are presented and compared in the paper.
