| - The paper deals with problems of significance and evaluation of transportation role for regional development. The interconnection beetwen economic growth and the growth of transportation function is isnsinuated in this paper from viewipoints of: basic issuases of the transportation function and economic growth of region, the reason of transport demand generation, causes of the transportation influence on economic development of region, evaluation of the transport function in a region basic approaches to guantisation of economic function of transportation in a region, positive effects of transportation function in a region, changes of transportation function in a region and transportation function and its territory-economic asspects. - Článek se zabývá problematikou významu a hodnocení funkce dopravy pro regionální rozvoj. Vzájemné propojení mezi ekonomickým růstem a růstem funkce dopravy je v článku naznačeno z hledisek: základní funkce dopravy a ekonomického růstu regionu, příčiny vzniku dopravní poptávky, hodnocení funkce dopravy v regionu, základních přístupů ke kvantifikaci ekonomické funkce dopravy v regionu, pozitivních účinků funkce dopravy v regionu, změn funkce dopravy v regionu a funkce dopravy a jejich územně-ekonomických aspektů. V další části článku je uveden přehled euroregionů zasahujících na území České republiky. Podrobněji je věnována pozornost základnímu popisu a významu dopravy pro ekonomický rozvoj v euroregionu Nisa - Niesse- Nysa. (cs)
