  • Nowadays, environmental considerations enter into every aspect of a product's sustainability. Companies solve problems of how and why they should implement environmental concerns into their strategic decision making. The question is no longer whether a product is %22green%22, but how %22green%22 the product is. Therefore, companies have been intensively seeking ways to identify and point out negative impacts their products have on the nature environment. In this paper several environmentally oriented product assessment approaches and results of our own case study created under LCA concept using Petri nets will be presented. The main aim of this paper is to provide to the auto wrecking company a methodology and a source of information that allow them to enlarge knowledge on product's environmental performance.
