Description
  • Different kind of bismuth and antimony based electrodes were investigated towards their application in modern electroanalytical chemistry for measuring trace heavy metal ions and some selected organic compounds. For instance, for the first time an antimony film electrode was prepared in-situ in alkaline media, i.e. ammonia buffer solution of pH 9.0. Furthermore, a new type of bismuth based electrodes, the ammonium tetrafluorobismuthate bulk modified carbon paste electrode, was introduced and ordinary Bi- and Sb- based electrodes were employed for measuring new analytes. All types of modifications applied to the electrode have shown excellent electroanalytical performance.
