  • The transport of citric acid through an anion-exchange membrane Neosepta-AMH in a two-compartment continuous dialyzer has been investigated. The basic data obtained were completed by the measurement of the sorption isotherm. Mass transfer rate has been quantified by diffusivity of citric acid in the membrane, which has been determined from the acid concentrations in the streams entering and leaving the dialyzer. For that purpose, a set of ordinary differential equations describing the concentrations profiles in both the compartments of the dialyzer has been numerically solved in the connection with an optimizing procedure.   • Transport kyseliny citrónové anion-výměnnou membránou Neosepta-AMH byl sledován v dvoukomorovém kontinuálním dialyzéru. Základní data byla doplněna měřením sorpční izotermy. Rychlost transportu hmoty byla kvantifikována difúzním koeficientem kyseliny citrónové v membráně, který byl určen z koncentrací kyseliny ve vstupních a výstupních proudech z dialyzéru. K tomuto účelu byla numericky řešena soustava obyčejných diferenciálních rovnic popisující koncentrační profily v obou komorách dialyzéru. Tato integrace byly spojena s optimalizační procedurou. V použitém matematickém modelu byl uvažován odpor proti transportu hmoty v kapalných filmech po obou stranách membrány. Všechny experimenty provedené za ustáleného stavu (teplota t = 25 °C) prokázaly, že difuzivita kyseliny citrónové se s rostoucí koncentrací postupně zvyšuje a po dosažení nevýrazného maxima (při koncentraci 0,464 kmol m-3) pak lze pozorovat mírný pokles. V rozmezí koncentrace kyseliny citrónové v membráně od 0 do 0,558 kmol m-3 je difúzní (cs)
