Description	%22Th is article analyses the role of family relations in the development of political and cultural communication between the Spanish Monarchy and the Empire during the 16th and 17th centuries. It focuses on Luisa of Pernstein, a lady-in-waiting to Empress Maria who later became a nun and abbess of the monastery of the Descalzas Reales in Madrid. Luisa?s private correspondence with her sister Polyxena and her second husband Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel of Lob ko wicz reveals his major role as informant on the political manoeuvres at the Spanish court and as mediator between her Central-European relatives and members of the Spanish royal household and other noble families. It also shows her role as popularizer of Spanish taste and styles by means of the written word and gifts.%22 (en) %22El objetivo principal de este trabajo es estudiar el papel de las relaciones de parentesco en el proceso de la comunicación política y cultural entre la Monarquía espa?ola y el Imperio durante los siglos xvi-xvii. A través de la correspondencia privada de Luisa de las Llagas (menina de la Emperatriz María y más tarde monja y abadesa de las Descalzas Reales) con su hermana Polisena y con el segundo esposo de ésta, Sdenco Adalberto Popel de Lobkowicz, hemos podido perfilar su función como informadora de los movimientos políticos en la corte y como mediadora entre sus parientes centroeuropeos y los miembros de la casa real y de la alta nobleza espa?ola. Por último, hemos reflejado su papel de divulgación del gusto espanol y de los usos y costumbres de la corte real espanola mediante la palabra escrita y los regalos.%22
