  • This seminar is designed to provide PhD students and novice scientists in the area of Medieval Studies with an opportunity to take their scientific and academic writing skills in English to a higher level. It is supposed to act as a guide that presents the basic writing skills required to successfully publish and communicate in the international world of science and research in general and in the field of Medieval Studies in particular. The seminar combines a block session and individual consultations, during which the participants learn and practice typical features of academic writing, such as academic writing style, structural parts of a research article and their characteristics, text composition, sentence structure, paragraphing, titles, formal/informal register, vocabulary, grammar or academic integrity. The seminar participants are expected to actively participate and write and critically assess academic texts.
