Description	This article deals with the issue of children and youth with disabilities. It describes the most frequent disabilities and illnesses in the child and youth age, the possibilities of therapy and support and presents the results and data of some research studies. It also deals with the positions of the society towards disabled people during the time. (en) Dieser Artikel behandelt das Thema Kinder und Jugend mit Behinderung. Er beschreibt die häufigsten Behinderungen und Krankheiten im Kindes- und Jugendalter, die Möglichkeiten der Therapie und Förderung und präsentiert Ergebnisse und Daten einiger wissenschaftlicher Studien. Nicht zuletzt setzt er sich kurz mit der Einstellung der Gesellschaft zu behinderten Menschen im Laufe der Zeit auseinander.
