  • In this paper we discuss disconjugacy of symplectic difference systems in the relation with positive definiteness of a certain associated block tridiagonal matrix. Analogous results have been recently proven for a special form of a symplectic systems - linear Hamiltonian difference systems and Sturm-Liouville difference equations. Finally, reciprocal systems are also discussed.
