Description
  • Nanoalloy phase diagrams differ substantially from the phase diagrams of bulk systems when the particle size (number of atoms) is included as an additional variable. In the present contribution, the Cu-Ni nanoalloy phase diagram respecting the nanoparticle size as an extra variable was calculated by the CALPHAD method. These theoretical results can be verified by experiment that starts with nanoparticle synthesis and nanoalloy characterization, which involve size distribution evaluation, chemical composition analysis, surface investigation etc.
