Description
  • Determination of low quantitative changes in protein expression is still a challenging task due to variability in both, biological sample preparation and analytical procedure. At first we did 2D GE experiments were we tested variability in protein spots introduced during the cell lysis. The percentage of qualitatively and quantitatively different spots was about 0.5 % and 2.5 %, respectively. To determine the protein concentration differences bewteen two samples we utilized protein labeling by ICPL. It was found to be precise (RSD approx. 5 %). Moreover the results obtained by different approaches are comparable.
