| - Z lesní půdy byly izolovány dva bakteriální kmeny za použití selektivního minerálního media obohaceného 4-nitropyrocatecholem, který sloužil jako jediný zdoj uhlíku a energie. Oba kmeny byly schopné využívat 4-nitropyrocatechol a 5-nitroquaiacol. Degradace 5-nitroquaiacolu a stechiometrické uvolňování nitritů bylo sledováno jak v rostoucí kultuře, tak i v kultuře nerostoucí. Studované kmeny byly neschopné degradace jiných nitroaromatických sloučenin jako je 4-nitroquaiacol, 2-nitrophenol, 3-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrobenzoová kyseůlina, 4,5-dimethoxy-2nitrobenzoová kyselina a 2,3-difluoro-6nitrophenol. Jeden kmen byl určen jako Rhodococcus opacus a druhý jako Rhodococcus sp. (cs)
- Two bacterial strains were isolated from forest soil by selective enrichment of the mineral medium containing 4-nitropyrocatechol as the sole carbon and energy source. Both strains could utilize 4-nitopyrocatechol nad 5-nitroquaiacol.Degradation of 5-nitroquaiacol and stechiometric release of nitrites was measured during its degradation both in growing culture and for resting cells. Both strains were unable to degrade other nitroaromatic compounds such as 4-nitroquaiacol, 2-nitrophenol, 3-nitrophenol, 4-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrobenzoic acid, 4,5-dimethoxy-2nitrobenzoic acid and 2,3-difluoro-6nitrophenol. One strainwas identified as Rhodococcus opacus and the second one as Rhodococcus sp.
