Description
  • Spectral characteristics of excimer lamps excited in two different excitation modes by means of sliding dischrge. Partial pressures of individual components in the working mixture as wwell as the excitation conditions in the discharge were optimised in order to obtain a high yield of UV fluorescence at approximately the same intensities KrCl and XeCl molecular bands. It was found that a rather homogeneous sliding dischrge could be maintained without any gas circulation when the pulse repetition rate was about 8 kHz.
