Description	The Czech translation of René Fallet's novel The Cabbage soupe is analysed by comparative methods of translatology and sociolinguistics. The main intercultural problem seems to be the equivalence of idioms issue from various dialects, slangs or technolects. The equivalence exceed often the frame of one phrase and the translator has to compensate French sociocultural allusions for variants specific to Czech background. (en) La traduction tcheque du roman La Soupe aux choux de René Fallet fait l'objet d'une analyse traductologique et sociolinguistique. Se posent d'abord des problemes liés a l'équivalence des termes dialectaux, jargonnesques, voire argotiques, d'une langue a l'autre. Par ailleurs, la traduction doit s'opérer par équivalence de sens, bien souvent dans un cadre plus large que celui de la phrase. Des lors, la difficulté réside non seulement dans la recherche de l'équivalence lexicale mais surtout dans le déchiffrement des sens cachés et des connotations sous-jacentes, clés d'acces aux correspondances interculturelles.
