Description	The author deals with the most dramatic period of the coexistence of the two universities (Czech and German) in Prague in the period of the Nazi occupation of the Czech Lands (1939-1945). Despite the fact, that Czech universities in general were closed afte the 17th November 1939 and the German University in Prague was favored, Czech clinics were officially permitted to preserve a part of their research activities (not speaking about health services) even after this date.
