Description	Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, die Standpunkte, die der Chronist Benedikt Johnsdorf (+ 1503) vertrat, mit den anderen Autoren seiner Zeit zu vergleichen.Trotz der konstatierten Variabilität der Einstellungen lässt sich auch eine Reihe gemeinsamer Elemente ausmachen. Dazu gehört nicht nur die Akzeptanz der Idee der Böhmischen Krone, sondern auch die Kritik an der aktuellen böhmischen %22Häresie%22, ebenso wie die Kritik am polnischen Gebaren auf schlesischem Gebiet. Bei den kirchlichen Autoren ist es auserdem die regelrecht befremdliche Laxheit in der Haltung gegenüber der Metropole Gnesen. Die schlesische Historiografie schon vor dem Ende des Mittelalters ein eigenstandiges Gebilde war. Dieses spiegelt die Entwicklung Schlesiens zu einer Region wider, die sich ihrer Besonderheiten und ihrer Eigenstandigkeit bewusst ist. The starting point for the article is the author's summary of the views of Benedikt Johnsdorf (+ 1503), member of the Augustinian order from Wroclaw, who wrote two chronicles. In his eyes, Silesia belongs to the Crown of Bohemia. This viewpoint is further confronted by the views of other historians from the turn of the 15th and 16th century. The author briefly deals with the image of Silesia by Jan Długosz (Johannes Longinus), the important Polish historian, and his followers - they claim that the region belongs to Poland. Finally, the author looks at the works originating in Silesia written at the turn of 15th and 16th century, and selects some local historians for their affiliations either with Bohemia, or with Poland. Her final claim is that despite the differences in opinion and the variety of views, the historiography of Silesia was already autonomous before the end of the Middle Ages and it reflects the forming of Silesia as an autonomous region, well aware of its specifics.
