| - The article is aimed at abolishing the concept of regional literature, which always has the connotations of a lack of modernity and complexity; the authors of a regional literature are considered as provincial and therefore %22poetae minores%22. The article argues instead for a regional literature research, which sees the literary text as %22part of a comprehensive cultural space%22 (Roger Vorderegger). Such a %22regional turn%22 could (because of the straightforwardness of the field he examines) accomplish, what the %22cultural turn%22 only has promised until now. However, %22region%22 in this sense must be accepted as a heterogeneous area, the supposed boundaries of a region must be recognized as cultural constructs and it has to be observed that such constructs are always in negotiation processes with other attributions. In relation to Bohemia, Moravia and Prague that would also mean to repeal the borders of national philology and investigate literary traditions of German and Czech in their common aspects. Last but not least the division of %22poetae minores%22 (as an object of regional literature research) and %22poetae majores%22 (as objects of a national philology) has to be abandoned. As a consequence Franz Kafka appears as an author of a region, who broaches in his texts (among other things) also the specific cultural mixture of Germans, Czechs and Jews in the Prague of the early 20th century. - Der Aufsatz zielt auf eine Abschaffung des Konzepts der %22Regionalliteratur%22, die immer die Konnotationen von mangelnder Modernität und Komplexität hat; die Autoren einer regionalen Literatur werden als provinziell und von daher als %22poetae minores%22 betrachtet. Der Aufsatz argumentiert stattdessen für eine regionale Literaturforschung, die den literarischen Text als %22Teil eines umfassenden kulturellen Raum%22 (Roger Vorderegger) versteht. Solch ein %22regional turn%22 könnte (wegen der Überschaubarkeit des Feldes, das er untersucht) erreichen, was der %22cultural turn%22 bisher nur versprochen hat. Allerdings muss %22Region%22 in diesem Sinne als ein heterogener Raum verstanden und müssen die vermeintlichen Grenzen einer Region als kulturelle Konstrukte erkannt werden; weiterhin ist zu beachten, dass solche Konstrukte immer in Aushandlungsprozessen mit anderen Zuschreibungen stehen. In Bezug auf Böhmen, Mähren und Prag bedeutet das auch, die Grenzen der Nationalphilologie aufzuheben und die literarischen Traditionen der deutschen und tschechischen Literatur in ihren gemeinsamen Aspekten zu untersuchen. Nicht zuletzt fordert es die Abschaffung der Unterscheidung von %22poetae minores%22 (als Objekt der regionalen Literaturforschung) und %22poetae majores%22 (als Objekte einer Nationalphilologie). Als Konsequenz erscheint Franz Kafka als Autor einer Region, der in seinen Texten (unter anderem) auch die spezifische kulturelle Mischung aus Deutschen, Tschechen und Juden im Prag des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts thematisiert.
