  • The chapter introduces the volume, the logics of its structure and the strategy of the group of authors adopted during the work on the book. The three large sections point to the use of three intertwined perspectives: transdisciplinarity, experimental search for new approach to the agenda, experience - a reflection on what has been accomplished during the five years of operation of the Network of Excellence in %22Crossing Frontiers, Resisting Identities%22, the 5th and final volume of an international research group. Comprises a reflection on its work over the past 5 years and proposals for future analyses. The volume uses the binomial %22Frontiers and Identities%22 as a heuristic tool for understanding the past and the present. It is a product of the Thematic Work Group 5 of the Network of Excellence CLIOHRES, supported by the EC through the 6th FP of its Directorate General for Research.
