Description	Amlodipine is a chiral calcium channel blocker. Racemic mixture is used in clinical practice even though it is known that only S-amlodipine possess vasodilating properties. Chiral aspects of biotransformation were studied by incubation of amlodipine and its two individual enantiomers with rat hepatocytes. V klinické praxi se užívá racemát, ačkoliv je známo, že vazodilatační vlastnosti vykazuje pouze S-amlodipin. Při studiu chirálních aspektů biotransformace byl s hepatocyty potkana inkubován jak racemát amlodipinu, tak oba jeho enantiomery. Identifikováno a semikvantitativně stanovováno bylo 8 metabolitů přítomných v nejvyšších koncentracích. (cs)
