Description
  • To investigate the great saphenous vein´s (GSV) viability when used as an in-situ by-pass graft in different surgical procedures on the lower extremities or as an autologous prosthesis for aorto-coronary by-pass grafting and to study the role of an increase of Vasa Vasorum (VV) as a possible factor for varicogenesis we analyzed the architectonic arrangement of the VV by a combination of several morphological methods, namely microdissection, India-Ink injection, histology, vascular corrosion casting, and Dmorphometry.
