| - Úvod: Předchozí studie u depresivních nemocných prokázaly, že depresivní symptomy jsou důsledkem dysfunkce limbických a frontálních oblastí, a pozitivní odpověď na léčbu je doprovázená recipročními změnami mozkového metabolismu v těchto oblastech. Cílem naší práce bylo přezkoumání rozdílů v distribuci mozkové elektrické aktivity nemocných s rezistentní depresivní poruchou v závislosti na čase (po 1 a 4 týdnech léčby) a odpovědi na léčbu. Metodika: 25 pacientů s rezistentní depresivní poruchou bylo vyšetřeno klinicky a pomocí EEG na začátku, po 1 týdnu a po 4 týdnech nové antidepresivní léčby. Proudová hustota elektrické aktivity (LORETA) byla určena ze spektrálně analyzovaných EEG dat a rozdíly jednotýdenních a čtyřtýdenních léčebných efektů u respondérů a nonrespondérů byly zobrazeny v podobě statistických parametrických map párových t-testů. Výsledky: Po jednom týdnu léčby došlo u respondérů ke zvýšení excitačních proudových hustot (beta pásmo) v oblasti zadního cingula a insuly, zatímco nonrespondé (cs)

The aim of our study was to examine time-specific (1-week vs. baseline and 4-week vs. baseline) and response-specific (responders vs. non-responders) differences in brain electrical activities in patients with resistant depressive disorder. Method: The subjects were 25 inpatients with treatment resistant depression. EEG data and response to treatment were monitored at baseline and after 1 and 4 weeks on an antidepressant treatment. Low-resolution brain electromagnetic tomography (LORETA) was computed from spectrally analyzed EEG data, and differences between 1-week and 4-week treatment-induced changes in responders and non-responders were displayed as statistical parametric maps of voxel-by-vo
