Description	Ve skupině pacientů jsme nalezli 2.3 % homozygotů pro alelu Ala/Ala, 23.4 % heterozygotů pro alelu Ala/Pro, a 74.3 % homozygotů pro alelu Pro/Pro. Tyto výsledky se významně neliší od kontrolní skupiny. Polymorfizmus Pro12Ala genu PPARă2 není pravděpodobně jedním z hlavních rizikových faktorů vzniku 2. typu diabetes mellitus u české populace. (cs) In the group of patients we have found 2.3 % of homozygotes for allele Ala/Ala, 23.4 % of heterozygotes for allele Ala/Pro, and 74.3 % of homozygotes for allele Pro/Pro. These results have not been different significantly from the control group. The Pro12Ala polymorphism of PPARă2 gene is probably not one of the main risk factor for development of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Czech population.
