  • We report here the development of an imageable fluorescent chick-embryo metastatic cancer model with the use of green fluorescent protein (GFP). Lewis lung carcinoma cells, stable expressing GFP, were injected on the 12th day of incubation in the chick embryo. GFP-Lewis lung carcinoma metastases were visualized by fluorescence, after 7 days additional incubation, in the brain, heart, and sternum of the developing chick embryo, with the most frequent site being the brain. The combination of streptokinase and gemcitabine was evaluated in this GFP metastatic model. Twelve-day-old chicken embryos were injected intravenously with GFP-Lewis lung cancer cells, along with these two agents either alone or in combination. The streptokinase-gemcitabine combination inhibited metastases at all sites. The effective dose of gemcitabine was found to be 10 mg/kg and streptokinase 2000 IU per embryo.   • Popisujeme vývoj modelu metastázujícího nádoru kuřecích embryí zobrazitelného fluorescencí pomocí zeleného fluorescenčního proteinu (GFP). Buňky Lewisova plicního karcinomu stabilně exprimující GFP byly injikovány 12. den inkubace do kuřecího embrya. Metastázy těchto GFP značených buněk byly po 7 dalších dnech inkubace zviditelněny fluorescencí v mozku, srdci a sternu vyvíjejícího se kuřecího embrya, přičemž místem s nejhojenějším výskytem byl mozek. V tomto GFP metastatickém modelu byla zhodnocena kombinace streptokinázy a gemcitabinu. Dvanáctidenní embrya byla injikována intravenózně nádorovými buňkami GFP-Lewisova plicního karcinomu s těmito látkami každou zvlášť nebo v kombinaci. Kombinace streptokinázy s gemcitabinem potlačovala metastázy ve všech místech. Účinnou dávnkou gemcitabinu bylo 10 mg/kg a streptokinázy 2000 IU na embryo. Z údajů této studie vyplývá, že tento nový stabilní fluorescenčně zobrazitelný model metastázujícího nádoru kuřecích embryí umožní rychlé testování (cs)
