  • Novel sites of oxytocin receptor expression are detected in CNS and in some peripheral tissues with using of diversity of signalling pathways; same cells oxytocin can activate multiple responses as the same time. Oxytonergic system has also been implicated in the growth modulation of various neoplastic cells, where it may inhibit or stimulate cell proliferation.
