Description	We analysed whether DNA-dependent acetylation of p53 correlated with conformational changes of the p53 tetramer. We found that, in the absence of DNA, the acetylation motif of p53 is in a cryptic state, but after DNA binding, allosteric effects mediate an exposure of the acetylation motif to allow DNA-dependent acetylation of the tetramer. (en) Analyzovali jsme, zda acetylace p53 závislá na DNA koreluje s konformačními změnami tetrameru p53. Našli jsme, že za nepřítomnosti DNA je acetylační motiv p53 v kryptickém stavu, avšak po vazbě na DNA dochází vlivem alosterického efektu k odkrytí acetylačního motivu, což umožní následnou acetalyci tetrameru závislé na DNA.
