Description	Diagnostik und Therapie von Herzrhythmusstörungen bei Kindern wurden schnell entwickelt im Laufe der letzten 20 Jahre. Kurative Behandlung für die Mehrzahl von Tachyarrhythmien durch Katheterablation erreicht. Multiple hereditäre lebensbedrohlichen Arrhythmie Syndrome entdeckt worden. Sekundäre sowie primäre Prävention des plötzlichen Herzrhythmusstörungen Tod möglich geworden dank implantierbaren Defibrillatoren auch in kleineren Kindern. Der folgende Artikel enthält sowohl praktische als auch Hintergrundwissen über einige dieser Entwicklungen. Diagnosis and therapy of cardiac dysrhythmias in children have been developing quickly over the last 20 years. Curative treatment for the majority of tachyarrhythmias has been achieved by catheter ablation. Multiple hereditary life-threatening arrhythmia syndromes have been discovered. Secondary as well as primary prevention of sudden arrhythmic death has become possible thanks to implantable defibrillators also in smaller children. The following article provides practical as well as background knowledge of some of these developments. (en)
