| Description
| - Embryos were derived from genetically valuable cows of different breeds excluded for reproductive disorders. Oocytes were collected in the growth phase or the other phases of follicular development after the estrus of cows was (define donors) or was not (undefine donors) synchronized. Embryos were prepared and frozen by standard protocol. After thawing, they were transferred to synchronized heifers. The both, the mean numbers of usable oocytes, transferable and freezable embryos collected per donor and the mean rates of usable oocytes, transferable and freezable embryos were significantly higher in the defined than the undefined donors. After transfer of 41 embryos, 20 heifers became pregnant. It can be concluded that the higher number of oocytes can be recovered in the growth phase compared with other phases of follicular development; greater development of these oocytes resulted in more transferable and freezable embryos and transfer of frozen-thawed embryos yielded a 48.6 % pregnancy.

- Od geneticky cenných krav různých plemen vyřazených pro neplodnost byla in vitro produkována embrya. Oocyty byly získány buď v růstové fázi nebo v ostatních fázích folikulárního vývoje potom, co říje krav byla (definované donorky) nebo nebyla (nedefinované donorky) synchronizována. Embrya byla připravena a zmrazena standardními postupy. Po rozmrazení byla přenesena do synchronizovaných jalovic. Průměrný počet použitelných oocytů, přenosuschopných a zmrazitelných embryí na donorku a průměrný podíl použitelných oocytů, přenosuschopných a zmrazitelných embryí byly signifikantně vyšší u definovaných donorek než u nedefinovaných donorek. Po přenosu 41 embryí zůstalo 20 příjemkyní březích. Bylo potvrzeno, že v růstové fázi je možno získat více použitelných oocytů ve srovnání s ostatními fázemi folikulárního vývoje, a že oocyty, vzhledem k jejich vyšší vývojové kompetenci, poskytují více přenosuschopných a zmrazitelných embryí. Po přenosu těchto embryí byla získána 48,6 % březost. (cs)
