| - Haemophilus parasuis is the causative agent of Glässer's disease (polyserositis, arthritis and meningitis in pigs) and it is also commonly isolated from upper respiratory tract of pigs in conventional herds. A total of 94 H. parasuis isolates were obtained from pathological lesions of dead pigs from 52 herds in the Czech Republic in the period 2003-2004. The highest resistance to antibiotics was observed in erythromycin 84.4 %, streptomycin 78.1 %, sulfasomidine 68.8 % and cotrimoxazol 57.8 %, fewer isolates were resistant to tetracycline, doxycycline and nalidixic acid identically 21.9 %, amoxicillin 14.1 %, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 12.5 % and norfloxacin 6.3 %. None of the isolates was resistant to cephalotine. The resistance to all tested antibiotics, except for cephalotine, was determined in one of isolates.

- Haemophilus parasuis způsobuje Glässerovu chorobu (polyserositidy, artritidy a meningitidy prasat), ale v konvenčních chovech je také běžně izolován z horních cest dýchacích zdravých prasat. V letech 2004 - 2005 bylo získáno z patologických lézí uhynulých prasat celkem 94 izolátů H. parasuis, které pocházely z 52 chovů prasat v České republice. Nejvíce izolátů bylo rezistentních k erytromycinu 84,4 %, streptomycinu 78,1 %, sulfasomidinu 68,8 % a cotrimoxazolu 57,8 %. Méně izolátů bylo rezistentních k tetracyklinu, doxycyklinu a nalidixinové kyselině, shodně 21,9 %, amoxicillinu 14,1 %, amoxicillinu, potencovanému kyselinou klavulanovou 12,5 % a norfloxacinu 6,3 %. Žádný izolát nebyl rezistentní k cefalotinu. U jednoho izolátu byly zjištěny rezistence ke všem testovaným antibiotikům s výjimkou cefalotinu. (cs)
