Description
| - Kapitola v knize je věnována bovinní tuberkulóze u zvířat a lidí především v sedmi zemích střední Evropy (Bosna a Hercegovina, Chorvatsko, Česká republika, Maďarsko, Polsko, Slovensko a Slovinsko). (cs)
- This chapter is devoted to bovine tuberculosis in animals and human beings in 7 European countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the CR, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia). The epidemiological situation of BT in animal and human population could be considered as stable. From TB lesion from cattle, pigs, and other domestic and wild animals, other mycobacterial isolate (esp. M. avium species) than members of M. tuberculosis complex were received. Rarely, M. a. paratuberculosis was isolated. Paratuberculosis has become the most serious chronically infection for which prevalence is increasing following the socio-economic and agricultural reforms that took place in the end of the 1980s in all Central European countries. Previously, the countries restricted animals' importation, but in the 1980s, the low paratuberculosis prevalence restrictions were lifted, giving way to the introductions of various beef from Western Europe with a relatively high prevalence of paratuberculosis.
