Description
(cs)
  • Bovine tuberculosis was last detected in cattle and pigs in the CR in 1995.The purpose of the present study was to evaluate results of intravital and post-mortem diagnosis of mycobacterial infections in cattle and pigs from 2000 to 2004. Of 2419889animals were examined with a positive response being found in 0.005% of them. After slaughter, bovine tuberculosis was not detected in any of these animals. With avian tuberculin, 40349 animals were tested and positive responses were in 0.1%. Tuberculouslesions were in 0.01% of 1967211 slaughtered cattle. 26 isolates of M.a.avium, 11 M.a.hominissuis, and 3 atypical mycobacteria were present in 188 examined animals. Tuberculous lesions were detected in 49 312 of 22312580 slaughtered pigs. During 5 years, the incidence of tuberculous lesions decreased from 0.37% to 0.10%. 203 M.a.avium, 442 M.a.hominissuis, and 112 atypical mycobacteria were isolated from 2 261 organs of animals. M.a.avium was the most prevalent in cattle, M.a.hominissuis in pigs.
