Description
  • Čtyři typy komerčně dostupných protilátek potenciálně vhodných pro identifikaci centrální nervové tkáně byly testovány pomocí ELISA metody. Protilátky byly testovány z hlediska specifity a sensitivity. (cs)
  • The utilization of four types of commercially available antibodies for the identification of the CNS tissue was tested by ELISA method. The sensitivity of the monoclonal antibodies anti-GFAP (ICN) was even 25% for both the appropriate (GFAP) antigen andthe brain tissue or spinal cord. There was no reaction concerning skeletal muscle, diaphragm or peripheral nerves. The sensitivity of the monoclonal anti-neurofilaments 200 (ICN) antibodies was also 25% for the appropriate neurofilament 200 antigen andbrain and spinal cord tissue. The sensitivity of polyclonal anti-neurofilament 200 antibodies (Sigma) was 2%. The monoclonal anti-MBP antibodies (Sigma) gave the same results and moreover the positive reaction with the peripheral nervous tissue and thesensitivity was 10%. All tested commercially available antibodies in our laboratory showed unsuitable sensitivity for the purpose of the semiquantitative identification of CNS tissue.
