  • The samples of grass and grass silages were evaluated for organic matter (OM) degradability using two cannulated steers. The rumen incubation times were 0, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h. The disappearance rates of OM were used for calculation of immediately soluble fraction (a value), potentially degradable fraction (b value), fractional degradation rate of b (c value) and the effective degradability (ED value). The objective of the present study was to develop the prediction equations for these degradation characteristics from the chemical composition of observed forages. For grass forages the best predictors of parameter b (P<0.01) were crude fibre (CF) and acid-detergent lignin (ADL) and parameters a, c and ED were described (P<0.0001) by neutral-detergent fibre (NDF) content. The best predictor of a, b, c and ED parameters of grass silages (P<0.001) was NDF.

  • Vzorky trav a travní siláže byly zkoumány z hlediska stravitelnosti organické hmoty (OM). Tyto vzorky byly inkubovány v bachorech dvou kanylovaných volů v časových intervalech 0, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 a 96 h. Podle úbytku organické hmoty byla vypočítána rychle rozpustná frakce (a), potencionálně degradovatelná frakce (b), rychlost degradace frakce b (c) a efektivní degradovatelnost (ED). Cílem této práce bylo vytvořit predikční rovnice těchto ukazatelů (a,b,c a ED), vycházející z chemického složení zkoumané píce. U travní píce byly pro parametr b (P<0.01) nejlepšími ukazateli hrubá vláknina (NDF) a acido-detergentní lignin (ADL), parametry a, c a ED byly charakterizovány (P<0.0001) obsahem neutrálně detergentní vlákniny (NDF). Nejlepší predikční ukazatel pro parametry a, b, c a ED travní siláže (P<0.001) byla NDF. (cs)
