| - Data on clinical mastitis (CM) collected between 1996 and 2003 on five Holstein dairy farms in the Czech Republic were analyzed. Lactational incidences of CM, averaged across farms and calculated only from cows with complete lactations, were 0.35, 0.45 and 0.57 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd plus subsequent lactations, respectively. The mean numbers of CM cases per cow and lactation were 0.63, 0.94 and 1.22, and the incidence of CM cases per cow-year at risk were 0.68, 1.00 and 1.27 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd plus subsequent lactations, resp. Longitudinal analysis of CM prevalence based on daily records showed the highest proportion of infected cows in the first ten days of lactation. The within-farm incidence of CM cases per cow per year, averaged over lactations, ranged from 0.53 to 1.56 with a mean value of 0.94 in the whole data set. - Byla analyzována data výskytu klinické mastitidy (CM) z pěti farem s holštýnským skotem v období 1996 až 2003. Průměrný počet krav nemocných CM minimálně jednou za laktaci v celkovém souboru dat byl 0,35, 0,45 a 0,57 v 1., 2. a vyšších laktacích. Průměrný počet případů CM na krávu za laktaci byl 0,63, 0,94 a 1,22 a počet případů CM na krávu a 365 dnů rizikových dnů byl 0,68, 1,00 a 1,27 v 1., 2. a vyšších laktacích. Časová analýza výskytu CM na základě denních údajů ukázala, že nejvyšší podíl nemocných krav byl v prvých deseti dnech laktace. Počet případů CM na krávu a 365 dní v rámci farem zprůměrovaný přes všechny laktace se pohyboval od 0,53 do 1,56 s průměrem v celém souboru 0,94. Přímé finanční ztráty z CM na krávu a rok na farmách kolísaly od 43,63 do 84,84 Eur Ekonomická hodnota výskytu CM byla 62.6 Eurna jedno onemocnění na krávu a rok. (cs)
