  • The objective of this study was to observe and compare thermal insulation of birthcoat and rectal temperature in 3 days old lambs (Suffolk x Merinolandschaf-SFxML, Šumavská ovce-S) exposed to cold environment (4.08 degr.C) and rain.The results showed that cold resistance is influenced by breed, birthcoat character respectively and that the breed S is better adapted to cold and rainy conditions than SFxML crossbreed.

  • Předmětem této studie bylo sledovat a porovnávat tepelnou izolaci vlny a rektální teplotu u 3 denních jehňat (Suffolk x Merinolandschaf-SFxML, Šumavská ovce-S) vystavených chladnému prostředí (4,08 st.C) a dešti. Výsledky ukázaly, že odolnost proti chladu je ovlivněna plemenem resp. typem jehněčí vlny a že plemeno S je lépe adaptované na chladné a deštivé podmínky než kříženci SFxML. (cs)
