Description
  • The results show an important role of crop rotation and the growing of legumes in arable farming systems. The dry matter yields of the non-fertilízed treatments in crop rotation were substantially higher than those of alternate growing of spring wheat and sugar beet. Symbiotic nitrogen fixation of legumes contributes substantially to the nitrogen budget. The organic C content in the topsoil was significantly increased by organic and mineral fertilization compared with the non-fertilized treatments, but not by crop rotation. There was no significant difference in nitrogen efficiency of crops between FYM and Csl + St treatments.
