  • UHPLC-MS technique was demonstrated to hold a great potential in discriminative metabolomics of conventional and Bt transgenic maize varieties. The processing of metabolomic fingerprints (mass spectra) by advanced chemometric methods demonstrated the capability of this approach to classify various maize varieties in both GM and non-GM sample sets. On the other hand distinguishing MON 810 event was not possible.This means, in fact, that %22substantial equivalence principle%22 has been confirmed.
