Description	This book of thermal analysis method was issued in the occasion of the II. Training School on Thermal Analysis held at the Crop Research Institute, Prague, The Czech Republic, 22-26 September 2008 under the COST Action 871, Cryopreservation of Crop Species in Europe. The first section give an overview on the scientific scope that is covered by the theoretical basis of thermal analysis as well as the broader consequences of heat and entropy. The second part is focused on the sampling and samples preparation of plant organ, principles of calibration and basic programming of the instrument. The last part includes an evaluation of exothermic and endothermic events and temperature of glass transition determination. This book of thermal analysis method was issued in the occasion of the II.
