Description
  • The main aim of the study was to evaluate some important agronomic traits (yield, 1000 seed weight, plant height, oil content and fatty acid composition) and crossability of B. carinata and B. napus in the greenhouse. Remarkable changes in oil (32.49%) and erucic acid (20%) content were recorded in crossing of DH BC Dodolla with DH line of B. napus BN SL-730. Satisfactory combining ability of several DH lines of BC resulted in heterosis effect in obtained hybrids. Hybrids between DH lines of BC 6 with DH line BC Dodolla showed intermediate height of their parents. The DH line Dodolla proved to be the most productive DH regenerant in our experiments. Therefore interspecific and intraspecific hybridization in Brassicas can lead to wider utilization of Brassica carinata (Ethiopian mustard) in food and feed industry.

  • Náplní práce bylo zhodnotit vybrané agronomické charakteristiky (výnos, HTS, výška rostlin, olejnatost, zastoupení mastných kyselin v oleji) a křížitelnost B. carinata a B. napus ve skleníkových podmínkách. Výrazné změny v obsahu oleje (32,49 %) a kyseliny erukové (20 %) byly zjištěny u kříženců mezi DH linií B. carinata (BC), odvozené z krajové odrůdy Dodolla a DH linií B. napus, odvozené z šlechtitelského materiálu SL-730. Dobrá kombinační schopnost mezi několika DH liniemi BC se projevila heterózním efektem u vytvořených hybridů. Hybridy mezi dihaploidními liniemi BC - šlechtitelským materiálem BC 6 a DH linií BC Dodolla - se vyznačovaly průměrnou výškou obou výchozích rodičů. DH linie, odvozené z BC Dodolla se ukázaly být nejvýkonnějšími genotypy v našich experimentech. S pomocí intra- a interspecifické hybridizace je tedy možno dosáhnout širšího využití B. carinata (hořčice habešské) v potravinářství i krmivářství. (cs)
