Description	Vědecký článek přináší analýzu historie a současného stavu genetických zdrojů rostlin v ČR. Analýza současných aktivit poskytuje uživatelům lepší orientaci při efektivním vyhledávání genetických zdrojů v českých kolekcích. Článek dále přináší základní údaje o českém Národním programu pro genetické zdroje. Dvanáct institucí uchovává v rámci tohoto programu přes 50 tis. položek. Výzkumný ústav rostlinné výroby v Praze (VÚRV) má odpovědnost za koordinaci Národního programu, v jeho kolekcích je zahrnuto více než polovina všech položek, zajišťuje provoz národního informačního systému pro genetické zdroje a zabezpečuje rovněž dlouhodobé uchování kolekcí všech semeny množených druhů v genové bance.Dále jsou shrnuty hlavní aktivity v mezinárodní spolupráci. Analysis of current aktiivties gives better orientation to users how effectively search desirable resources in the Czech collections. Basic data on the Czech national programme are provided. Twelve Czech institutions hold over 50 000 accessions; the Crop Research Institute (CRI), Prague, has overall responsibility for coordinating the Programme, holds more than a half of all accessions, runs the national information system on PGR, and provides long-term storage for all seed-propagated species in the Gene Bank.
