  • On the basis of the results of long-term field experiments, methods of balancing organic substances were developed. As with balancing plant nutrients, these estimate the losses (mineralization of soil organic matter) and inputs of organic substances in the soil. In this country the methods of balancing soil organic matter by Skarda have been applied for practical use. Balance differences between the mineralization of soil organic matter and the input of organic substances supplied by the growing plants into soil (so called need of organic matter (OM) or organic matter norm) are to be supplemented with organic fertilising. Using data of 86 soil monitoring sites, relationships between organic matter balance and the total organic C (TOC), N (TON), and hot water soluble C (Chwl) content in the topsoil were evaluated. The altitude of the sites ranged from 151 m to 672 m above sea level and it formed almost linear climate and pedosequence. The same was true for the TOC, TON and Chwl. The relationships bet

  • Od roku 2001 sledujeme vybrané lokality, které jsou součástí Basálního monitoringu zemědělských půd jedná se o běžně obhospodařované pozemky, ke kterým existuje obsáhlá databáze výsledků monitoringu. Ze všech sledovaných lokalit byly půdní vzorky odebírány do hloubky 20cm, prosety přes 2mm síto a vysušeny při laboratorní teplotě. Dále byl stanoven obsah C, N a S na elementárním analysátoru Vario max a obsah uhlíku extrahovatelného horkou vodou Chwl. Výsledky laboratorních analýz byly doplněny souborem dat o agrotechnických opatřeních především o organickém hnojení a osevních postupech a souborem dat charakterizujících vybrané lokality nadmořská výška, půdní druh, půdní typ, podíl jemných a jílovitých částic. Shromážděné údaje byly využity pro výpočet bilance organické hmoty podle Škardy. (cs)
