  • Microbial degradation of German cockroach (Blattella germanica L.) faeces was observed under laboratory conditions at 15oC and 30oC during 84 and 168 days. The degree of degradation and microbial growth were visualized by scanning electron microscopy and by biochemical analyses and correlated to the amount of the major allergen Bla g 2. In degraded and control faeces just after defaecation, the amount of Bla g 2 was assayed by commercial ELISA kit. In addition the total proteins, α-amylase, α and β glucosidases activities were compared. The amount of total proteins as well as enzymatic activities decreased in the extracts from degraded faeces. Altogether with the visualization of fungal decomposers by SEM it indicates the microbial degradation of faeces and denaturation of the protein components depend on temperature.   • Byla sledována mikrobiální degradace alergenu Bla g2 v exkrementech Blattella germanica L. v laboratorních podmínkách při 15°C a 30°C po 84 a 168 dnech. Úroveň degradace exkrementů a mikrobiálního růstu na jejich povrchu byly sledovány elektronovým mikroskopem a dále byl stanoven obsah alergenu Bla g2. Množství alergenu bylo stanoveno pomocí komerčních protilátek technikou DAS-ELISA. Kromě toho bylo měřeno a porovnáváno celkové množství proteinů a aktivity α-amyláz, α a β glucosidáz. Množství proteinů i enzymové aktivity klesaly po degradaci. Také vizuální hodnocení mikromycetů na povrchu exkrementů naznačuje, že úroveň degradace exkrementů a denaturace proteinů závisí na teplotě. Naproti tomu množství Bla g2 v exkrementech po degradaci bylo negativně korelováno s úrovní hydrolýzy exkrementů. Možným důvodem této skutečnosti je hydrolýza proteinů v exkrementech a tím i odmaskování epitopů, na které se váže monoklonální protilátka, použitá v ELISA. (cs)
