Description
  • The process of soil acidifying (known as acidification) represents a serious problem in mountainous areas of the Czech Republic. The risk factor of acidification is mobilisation of aluminium occuring due to a lowered pH. We can thus presume that it negatively influences also the biological activity of acidified soil. All the samples show acid reactions that in no case reach to the level of pH 6. The aim of our work is to identify microbial activity in mountainous meadow soil of various acidification intensity and to assess the influence of soil acidification upon microbial biomass, activity of invertase, urease and dehydrogenase.

  • Acidifikace půdy je vážným problémem v České Republice. Rizikovým faktorem acidifikace je mobilizace hliníku v důsledku nízkého pH. Cílem naší práce bylo zjistit, zda acidifikace negativně ovlivňuje také biologické parametry. Byl zkoumán vliv acidifikace na enzymatické aktivity (aktivitu dehydrogenázy, ureázy invertázy) a na uhlík biomasy mikroorganizmů. Výsledky ukázaly, že obsah hliníku stoupá s klesajícím pH. Také bylo dokázáno, že všechny námi zkoumané biologické parametry byly negativně ovlivněny nízkým pH. (cs)
