Description	a a (cs) According to EU and Czech regulations, risk assessment have to be submitted by notifiers before GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) is approved for the release into the evrironment. Several factors have to be considered: distant pollen flow, occurence ofrelated wild species in the territory, the richness of the insect populations, the impact of new technologies itself on agroecosystems. Several institutions have been involved in the study covering different aspects of possible interactions between GM wheat, potatoes, flax and peas and current agroecosystems. Development of herbicide resistant weeds due to the large scale application of herbicide is monitored. Along with that possible gene escape into Elytrigium repens from Triticum aestivum via Elytrigium intermedium was studied. Neither using in vitro cultures we were able to produce viable seeds from wide hybridisation between several clones of Elytrigium repens and Triticum aestivum. (en)
